German and English are the official conference languages (with simultaneous translation for parts of the conference). Whether the session is taking place in German or English, as well as whether simultaneous translation is provided, is noted in the programme.
The conference receivers and headphones for the simultaneous translation are available at the headset counter in Level B. They are provided upon presentation of a national ID card, passport. Please return the headsets every evening.
Lost receivers and headphones incur a replacement fee of EUR 300,.
Upon arrival, please proceed to the conference office on Level B of the bcc. There you will be provided with a name tag and a conference kit. The name tags double up as registration passes.
Please wear your name tag throughout the entire conference.
The organisers and conference volunteers can be identified by their red bandanas. Please don’t hesitate to approach us if you need assistance. Which languages the person speaks will be noted on his or her name tag.
You will find the cloak room on Level B of the bcc.

We want to ensure that people with dementia feel comfortable at the conference. Therefore, the bcc’s Room B03 on Level B is available for people with dementia to meet and relax in peace and quiet.
Since the room is very close to the conference office, please let us know if you require any assistance.
Registration Fees
The registration fee includes entrance to all conference sessions and exhibition, a conference kit with conference material, including a detailed programme and an abstract-book, lunch, coffee breaks and Get-together.
The registration fee for accompanying persons includes only the participation in the opening ceremony, closing ceremony and Get-together.
The Ärztekammer Berlin (Berlin Medical Council) awards continuing education credits for conference attendance.
The participation certificate can be collected at the conference office at the end of your conference visit.

A message board ist provided near the conference office, on which organisers, as well as conference participants can leave messages. Please do not post any advertising, as it will be removed.
A free-of-charge Internet café is available on Level A of the bcc. Please only use the service to check and send e-mails. We ask you to use a PC for not longer than 10 minutes at a time. Thank you for your understanding.

Coffee and lunch breaks are included in the registration fee for conference participants (exception: accompanying persons). The catering stands are located in the bcc’s foyer.
The neighbourhood of Mitte offers a wide variety of culinary specialties from around the world. A particularly varied selection can be found around Hackescher Markt and Gendarmenmarkt.
A photographer is taking photos of the participants throughout the conference and will offer these for purchase on Level B. Photos taken at the social evening will be available for purchase on Saturday, all other photos on the same day. Conference photos can also be found after the conference on the conference website at www.alzheimer2006.de
The ADI showcase will provide delegates with the opportunity to find out about ADI member programmes and services taking place around the world. Attending the showcase will enable you to make contacts and network with the global dementia community. You will find this exhibition in Level A of the bcc.
