Invitation

On behalf of the German Dyslexia and Dyscalculia Association (BVL) I cordially invite you to the International Conference – State-of-the-Art in Dyslexia and Dyscalculia Research to be held in Berlin, October 3–5, 2008. This conference comes at an exciting time when a number of neuropsychological, brain imaging und molecular genetic studies have been conducted worldwide, and recent results of their work can be presented.

International Conference – State-of-the-Art in Dyslexia and Dyscalculia Research is intended to provide an overview over the international research findings in dyslexia and dyscalculia, summarize recent progress in molecular genetic work, and foster international collaboration.

The scientific topics covered in International Conference – State-of-the-Art in Dyslexia and Dyscalculia Research include functional brain imaging studies, genome wide association studies, and analysis of brain processes correlated with dyslexia and dyscalculia. Emphasis will be given to neurobiological results and their relevance to aetiology, diagnoses and treatment of dyslexia and dyscalculia.

International Conference – State-of-the-Art in Dyslexia and Dyscalculia Research is funded by German Dyslexia and Dyscalculia Association (BVL), German Research Foundation (DFG), the Free University of Berlin, and the European Dyslexia Association. The conference will be held in the Henry Ford Building of the Free University of Berlin
