Call for Papers
Deadline for all submissions: March 31, 2006
Scholars form all over the world are invited to submit paper or panel proposals until March 31, 2006 your time zone.
Please note: The organizing committee will not accept more than three papers of the same (co-)author and /or panel proposals. All presenters and participants must register for the annual meeting to have their paper listed in the programme.
Submissions
For submissions (English language) please exclusively use
the online internet form.
Please note: Submissions by fax, mail or E-mail are not accepted.
Paper submissions
Full papers only.
The paper sessions and reviews will be organized along 19 Tracks:

All paper submissions are expected to include:
A special online submission form including
- Title of the paper, e-mail address to be used for all correspondence, name, affiliation, mailing addresses, phone, fax, and e-mail addresses for all authors. Please provide personal contact information that will be valid from March 31, 2006 through the conference dates.
- 150200 word abstract
- Requested track (please select one of the seventeen tracks)
- Full text (as PDF attachement to the online abstract form)
- No more than 10,000 words in total
- Submissions must be double-spaced text and a font size of 11 points or larger.
- The paper file must be submitted as an Adobe PDF file. The operating system must be windows.
- The entire document must be embedded in a single electronic file. Manuscripts that are submitted as several separate files will be returned to the author and not processed.
- Be sure that the name(s) of the author(s) do not appear on the manuscript.
Panel Submissions
Panels are complete sessions organised as a single submission by the panel chair. Panels may have a variety of formats. Examples include traditional presentations of competitive or work-in-progress papers, round-tables with no formal papers, innovative presentations utilizing software or film.
Panel proposals must be submitted by the panel chair and include:
A special online submission form including
- The name and contact information for all participants and identification of their roles.
- An abstract of the main issues in the panel (some 200 words).
- A description of the session format (e.g. paper presentations).
- A confirmation of each participant, indicating s/he will participate if the panel is accepted.
- Full text (as PDF attachement to the online abstract form)
- An explanation of why the panel should be of interest to IFSAM
- A 3 page synopsis of each presentation/activity.
- Panel proposals should not exceed 5,000 words
- Submissions must be double-spaced text and a font size of 11 points or larger.
- The document file must be submitted as an Adobe PDF file.
The operating system must be windows.
- The entire document must be embedded in a single electronic file. Manuscripts that are submitted as several separate files will be returned to the author and not processed.
After Submission
Authors will be informed on the acceptance (or rejection) of their submission by May 31, 2006.
Please note: Presenters of accepted papers have to register until July 31st!
All papers will be subject to a double-blind review process.
Paper proposals will be evaluated using the following criteria:
- interest to the IFSAM community
- analytical rigor
- innovativeness
- significance of conclusions
Panel proposals will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- interest to the IFSAM community
- innovativeness/timeliness
- fit with conference theme
- participants from multiple universities and nations
